Mexican Rice

  • Jazaa – Elite Steam Rice (14-oz) 2-cups
  • Oil 2-tbsp
  • Onion (chopped) 1
  • Green onions 2
  • Garlic Cloves / Green chilies 4-each
  • Red Chilly (crushed) 1-tsp
  • Oregano 1-tbsp
  • Tomato Puree / Tomato juice 1-cup each
  • Chicken stock 4-cups
  • Ground Pepper / Black Pepper / Kalonji / Capsicum


Soak Jazaa Elite Steam rice for 30 to 40 minutes and drain. Heat oil, sauté onions & garlic, fry well with 2 green chilies, Jazaa rice and fry for 1 minute. Stir chilies, oregano, chicken stock, tomato puree & black pepper, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover & simmer till Jazaa Elite Steam rice gets tender then dry. Top with fried egg, green onions, capsicum plus fried onions.
